Anathema have released through their web page another new song called 'angels walk among us'.
it's the 3rd internet release of a song from the forthcoming album.
according to anathema this version of the songs is different than what we are going to hear on the upcoming album.
what's ur opinion about the song after you've had a good listening to it?

i'd like to step in and just say in simple words that i'm quite excited with what i've heard.
the sound of the song and the melodies seem to be more mature and i applause the use of clean(non electric) vocals and the more use of guitars.
the song seems to have a good body and it managed to bring back to me emotions that i've had long forgotten..
the new thematology or concept of the songs is a very attractive one as it blends very smooth with the whole Anathema style..
it makes the waiting for the new album worse as i can't wait to hear something new...
i've heared that anathema are working with a new american producer and if that's true i think it's gonna help them in making their songs more solid and in the same way it's gonna make the fans come closer to the band once more..
i dunno about the rest of u but i get the feeling that angels DO walk among us and that the new Anathema future is going to make us happy and proud for following this wonderful band all these years...

keep up the excellent work guys...
take us to the place that you always did...

the other day i was listening 'wrong' by nadir(es)... while i was downloading 'angels walk among us'. although i always try to read the lyric prior to hearken any new song but that day i could not help me searching for the lyric since i was waiting for a new song from anathema for a long time. i found solace and anyway, i think most of you here agree with me that this song is different in toto... i mean unique and having superb unification. and you may find there unearthliness… miserable melodies… magnanimous superiority.

I've always loved the male-female vocal dynamic on Anathema songs, and the song wastes no time in going for an emotionally charged melody, which is beautiful to listen to. However, the spoken word in the latter part of the song is both unintelligible and too pretentious for my taste. The song's three minutes too long. That being said I really need their new album, and really need them to play another headlining tour. At their finest, they are unparralled in what I love about music - beautiful vocals, amazing riffs, and emotional substance.

Is there a thread yet where you can bet on the date the new albums is going to be released? smile

Anyway, think the Angels Walk among us is a bit plain. Might be the recording-quality, or my ipod. tongue Hope they're gonna put a bit more depth in the sound at the album. Think Everything is better.

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
