The boys from Liverpool follow “An Iliad of Woes” with the crushing second demo, “All Faith Is Lost.” With immensely better production and a bigger doom influence, Anathema deliver 4 doom/death classics that never become old and tired. While we all know “Crestfallen” and “They Die,” “One With The Earth” and “All Faith Is Lost” are great songs that should have been re-recorded for later Anathema releases. Thanks Johnnie, Vinnie, Danny, Jamie, and Darren(ie - got to keep it consistent fellows), whenever I become saddened by the terrible metal scene today (do in large part because of the lousy NS black “metal,” kiddie-gorecore, and “brutal” death metal scenes), I’ll play this classic cassette. Highly recommended!

A more detailed review will follow.

By the way, who’s Graham Emanual?

Can anyone tell me: is the original cassette of this demo of better sound quality than those mp3s on the internet or not?

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
