Once there were the big three. In the 90s they ruled the doom metal scene: Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema.

All three of them changed their style after a while, became softer and more electronical, leaving their fans behind.

Two of them returned triumphant. First My Dying Bride (last 5 albums), then Paradise Lost (last two albums)

Where are you Anathema...

Paradise Lost...to have returned triumphant?
My personal opinion, though, but I disagree on that...

ok, so the last album of paradise lost then?  i agree that "symbol of live" is widely electronic, but i love the song: "mystify".

But the last album "paradise lost" is rather heavy, i love it. Looking forward to the new album in may which the band describes as heavy and dark.

On My Dying Bride, i would have to exclude their latest album "a line of deathless kings", because it contains no growls. so that is a step back again.

way-out! i don't want to make any dispute here... paradise-lost, my-dying-bride, anathema... are the awesome grouping whenever i think of a gig.

and... why you guys always try to make comparison while knowing that they are very unique if we ignore the broad genre concept which is in fact of no use to consider…

Did someone say Paradise Lost?  Yes, I'm slightly biased for them....they've got a new album coming out too!  You can hear clips of a couple of new tracks here:-

I'm off to see them, My Dying Bride and Testament play at the Metalmania Festival in Poland tomorrow.  Where's Anathema on that bill sad

P.S. What you growling for Dr.S? LOL

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
