nothing is ever going to change… until it is denying us. literally the past can not be forgotten entirely

there is colossal interval in between old anathema and new anathema. ignoring this… anathema is changing at a halt gradually… and, nightly.

whatever… do we expect no reminisces into their music

I do like the old AnathemA, but I think as an artist you have to renew yourself to be an artist. If you don't you'll create only copies of your older work. So I believe the 'new-style-Anathema' is a very positive thing, and will add something more to AnathemA.

Keep up the good work...

I like "new" Anathema more than "old"...
But I still listen to their music no matter when it was created.

imho
Anathema is a very sincere band.
Like any person can change during his living, so the band can change too. It expresses in music. They play and sing what they feel. Maybe they've got tired of hard and heavy reflections and felt something "new". New hopes, new stars in the sky, new thoughts and emotions... And it's great!
So, their music has become "new" too.
I like "Pentecost" and "The silent enigma" because these are albums full of desperation, depression, pain and suffering... And full of hope to Escape...
I like "Eternity" because this album is a true Ascension...
I like "A natural disaster" because - i said - "there the Sun has risen up above Anathema and the long dark night has got to the end"...
I like Anathema as persons because it seems to me they are very sincere ones.
And i think there is no "old" or "new" Anathema but there is just Anathema as it is. True Anathema.
imho.

It's a sign of a good band exploring music and not just doing the same stuff all the time, being able to change, not afraid to experiment, now that's an interesting band!

i totally agree with Ion. the old anathema is more depressive, but with a fragment of hope as well. In the new songs the hope and the positive feelings are more present, but the darker past is not forgotten. It is a natural process based on their feelings, i'm also convinced they're sincere and surely they change in time. The good thing for me is that I've changed along with them in the same direction, so i liked them, still do and can't imagine ever not to. For me they are still lonesome at the top of my list.

For me, there is not bad song of them. Not at all. They are the greatest!
I started listening Anathema with Eternity, 5 years ago and that's why Eternity is and will be my fav Anathema album, but I also love other albums. They are all special and beautiful.
We had a little party at my home few days ago and we were listening to Serenades. The music is so strong, to listen it is to move in this other Anathema world.
Today, I'm listening to The silent enigma because that's how I feel.
Anyway, there is no old Anathema. Anathema has grown older, and their music is now deeper. You shold respect this!

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
