If life is a cycle, does it means things can't change? Will thier always be people, who forever live with pain?

I'm pretty sure the DVD is region-free, so yeah, it will play.

By the way, how is it even possible that no one wants to sign a band like Anathema?  Seriously.  Just pick up ANY of their previous records (except maybe the really old ones, I'm not a fan of those tongue) and you'll realize you're holding something exceptional.  It would be a total shame if things were to end like this.  Anathema are one of the better bands out there and AFAICT they've been pretty successful too.

*fingers crossed for Anathema*

And I want a new album :3

guys you really got to get ur hands on that dvd!
it's amazing i got it 2 months ago and i've watched it more than 50 times. "a moment in time" shows Anathema at their best!
when it just came out here in uk it was sold out in all the main london music stores and got it off amazon.. get the special edition that has a live cd inside and a lot of extras including an interview with danny and les...
i hope the new record deal comes soon but as i've said in the anathema.ws forum just wait for the new year to come cz that's when all the bands and the companies announce their new deals and all their new album's releases.
i hope a really good company gets anathema so more ppl wil know them and that will give them a major boost in creating even more beautiful music..

I disagree~

The DVD isn't dreadfully bad but it's not that good either.  I think I posted a review back when I got it.  Ah, here it is.  My main point was that the performance was irritatingly sloppy, especially how they fail to keep the same tempo throughout a song.  (I was just appalled when I first watched "Flying".  It's one of my favorite songs and they just kept kicking me out of my trance by just speeding up and speeding up more.)

This doesn't mean you shouldn't get the DVD, I'm just saying don't expect too much from it either or you'll be seriously disappointed (like I was), especially after paying 27€ for the limited edition.

i couldn't do otherwise but disagree with u my friend...
i know that we share the same passion for Anathema but we shouldn't forget tha they aren't Maiden or Metallica to perform shows that sound exactly like their albums.. i've been to quite a few concerts of them and one is better than the other,i find the way Anathema plays live as full of feeling and those of u that've been to any of their concert can feel the rush of energy from and towards the stage!
i find that dvd as a true anathema piece and prefer it from "where u there?" dvd mostly due to the nice feeling the express as a band and to the variety of songs AND to the slight patchiness of the performance..life is not perfect fellow friends and it shouldn't be..
All i know is that 2 days after it was issued "A Moment in Time" became absolutely extinct from every music store in london and it is a pice of art for me..not perfect but exactly how it should be!

PS The only thing that annoyed me on the dvd was Danny actually that got angry with the prchestra half way through the show and i could realise that..never quite trusted him and i feel he is manipulating the band into losing it's edge..still love him and respect him as he is a member of my fav band.

Just checked it and my god, what a relief.

At last some word on the album!

Danny says that the theme is hope. And I'm sure it's one we've all thought about.

About bloody time smile

Anathema rule!

I have something like 10 new songs from them.. demo or live tracks... enough to make an album. It's easy to find at Soulseek, in bootlegs... or, if any of you guys want, just PM me smile
I heard that the album will be released next May, around 20/25th.

It's sad that, in our blindness, we gather thorns for flowers...

Nah.. there are 7 new songs floating around: Everything, A Simple Mistake, The Hills Have Eyes, Unchained, Ann Further, One Day, Angels Walk Among Us.  If you got any other new songs they are probably fake.

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
