I must tell you I was really surprised by this album. I mean I didn´t like it for the first listening, but for the second smile now I understand that Anathema is still changing (growing) and that´s great...I can be connected to their mind by their music smile

I think AFDTA is a wonderful album. Some of my favorites are on this one, like "Release", "Leave No Trace" and "Temporary Peace". It's got beautiful melodies, moods, lyrics, guitars and voice. And I really like the production as well. I don't find it as dark or sad as "Alternative 4" or "Judgement", but still very melancholic. Great album.

i think that no matter they try to forgett the sad...they always going to make the music in this way... leave no trace is the song that i love.. but who can scape from the temporary peace... is drift in and out...

somehow everyone thinks that this is anathema's worst album (so i keep hearing), but i think that's because some people can't accept that music can grow form one stage to another.... and still keep you flying over the skies.....
I see most of you appreciate this album greatly! smile

The album is great... I don't care what other people think... Worst Anathema album... huh... I've been also hearing such things.
For the temporary peace... for me ... very very dangerous song... it turns me from the insisde out, if you know what I mean... and I wish just to... drown and float ... drift and out, just like the waves. This song.. filled with love... leaves you nothing but... true, temporary peace.. but in your lamment... you are crying.. but you feel comfort that way..you feel safe, it's little cold...
Words drifted out...

Did you wake with a sigh...and not a smile? Did you?

What do you think about "Panic" ...
It's a terrible song.. in the good meaning of the word "terrible" ... I know the lyrics word by word... there's so much fear in this song... and a pure touch of strong, screaming pain...can't describe it better than that...

Did you wake with a sigh...and not a smile? Did you?

one of the (many) things I like about this record is that it is a record...a complete thought, a circular stream of ideas and feelings, and I don't think records are made this way very often anymore...it was a more common way of approaching records in the 70's, not necessarily a concept record per say, but a whole idea with individual songs that stand alone, but work even better when listened to as a whole

and I really like John Douglas' songwriting, and several of the best songs on this one are his...Pressure, A Fine Day To Exit, and Panic (with Danny)

i love it!!!!! I feel perfectly lyrics, meaning, climate of pressure, leave no trace, a fine day to exit... i like even  the absurd of John's "in the dog's house"

chances are fading...this world isn't waiting.....

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
