Hey What happened at the Sao Paulo show?

Does anyone know the real reason why the show did not go on?
I had my best friend who lives there go to that show...i talked him into going.
He loves Anathema and was so excited to be there.  He said that the local authorities came in and told them all the show was cancelled after one band played.

He did not really know why?  Does anyone know what happened and if they will try to play Sao Paulo again in another place?   I feel very bad because i sought out where this LED SLEY Venue was?
I found it only days before the show was scheduled.  The tickets link did not function the website and it took you to some electronics website. NOT a ticket purchasing site.

It took a lot to even find where this place was...and then i talked him into going and then this!
He was so excited for this is not an easy thing he cannot afford to spend money foolishly.

will you guys go back there again?   There have got to be better mainstream places to play than this one was....he lives there and had never heard of it.  All i see that played there was COVER BANDS i did not see any listings for bands such as Anathema...

I am so sad for him he was so bummed out today!

That's what I've received from one of the fans:

The band couldn't play because the club (LedSlay) didn't have a permit. Apparently, the production (Dynamo Brazilie) didn't know about this. Talk about shitty organization. We were informed about it only after the first opening band played. The fuckers were -still- selling tickets even after the show was officially canceled. We were promised our ticket money back, but no guarantee on the money spent on traveling and all that stuff. Some members of Anathema (I saw Vincent, Jamie and Les) came down to where we were and gave autographs, took pictures and talked with everyone there. Then the cops forced us out of the club.

Argh. Their tour here in Brazil was utterly embarissing.
I saw the one in Brasilia. The show was great but they put them in the shittiest place ever with the shittiest equipment too. And then, the blackout!
After that I was counting on their show in São Paulo to be amazing, in a much better structured place, but then it is cancelled.
All I can saw is that I'm totally embaressed of everything. Damn. They are never coming back here.

We realize the design is a little messy in Internet Explorer, but it will change only when new version of Anathemaniacs appears. For now you can switch to one of other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (by the way, they both are much better solutions than IE).
